Just Comfort Shoes runs a free visitation service that allows customers to try on and buy shoes in their homes, including retirement villages, nursing homes and other residential villages, on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

Residential Village Pop-Up Shops
We can set up pop-up shops at residential villages using village community centres or similar spaces.
We schedule visits to set areas on set dates, often in response to interest, and then make times available to others in the same area or village.
Customers can book individual shoe fitting appointments directly with us unless they are in a residential village that requires liaison with the office or staff. Customers at residential and retirement villages where visits require co-ordination or notification through an office will not be able to book directly with us, and should ask village staff to contact us on their behalf.
Appointments are free of charge on our pre-planned itinerary visits to designated areas. Sometimes the itinerary will also include a free follow-up visit.
A fee applies for specially arranged visits or followup visits outside our scheduled itinerary. See Visitation Service Fees.
To avoid a fee, customers can express interest in a visit and be notified when itinerary dates are added for their area.
The more interest we receive from an area or residential village, the more likely it will be practical for us to schedule a visit sooner. Express interest now.
Itinerary-based visits for individual appointments are subject to minimum bookings. If minimums are not met by the booking deadline, appointments may be cancelled or postponed. Clashing available times of customers may also prevent appointments being made for some customers even if the visit does go ahead.
Please note that visits are only available to residents of ground-floor or lift-accessible homes that have parking available within 30m of the door.
We can also do Special Orders involving other colours and sizes of some of our shoe styles. A freight cost of $15 applies if you would like your Special Order mailed to you.
Tailoring a Visit to Your Needs
If you are interested in a private appointment or attending a pop-up shop, you can preview shoe styles on the website in advance. You can let us know by phone or through our online form of the names of styles that interest you and details of your needs, including your shoe size. This can help us decide on other suitable styles to bring. Foot tracings and foot photographs may also help.
You can indicate up to six styles from our website, and can also describe shoe features that interest you and have us recommend styles for you. Let us know of multiple times you have available for an appointment, whether this is during one of the scheduled visit days listed on our itinerary or another time. For listed itinerary days, we co-ordinate customers' available times to fit as many people as possible into the schedule. Any times you mention that are outside of our scheduled visit dates are treated as expressions of interest and may influence us to add new visit dates to our itinerary.
Bookings usually close three days before a scheduled visit date, but sometimes closer. Appointments are confirmed as soon as possible after that. If you miss the deadline, you can always phone on the day to check for spare times and see if we can get back to you between appointments. Visits are subject to minimum bookings.
During the visit you may also have a chance to browse and discuss other available shoe styles on a mobile device. We may also be able to measure, photograph or scan your feet if you would like us to use data to comment on the suitability of shoes that interest you in the future, whether for further mobile visits or for online, phone or in-store purchases.
Things to Note
The Visitation Service is not available for returning previously purchased shoes, to have Special Orders delivered, or for Department of Veterans' Affairs Medical Grade Footwear fittings. For DVA MGF fittings, please Contact the shop.
